Kim Victoria Cattrall (born August 21 1956) is a Canadian-born British actress most well-known for her performance as Samantha Jones in the HBO show Sex and the City for which she received five Emmy Award nominations and four Golden Globe Award nominations winning the 2002 Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actress. In the years 2008 and 2010 she reprised the character in the films Sex and the City and Sex and the City 2. Her most prominent role includes Police Academy, Big Trouble from Little China Mannequin, and Porky's from the 1980s. Kim Cattrall's character on the HBO TV comedy Sex & the City is among the most memorable. The character Samantha Jones played by noted actress Cattrall was an important point in her professional career.
